After-Hours Scheduler
The Scheduler coordinates and manages staff scheduling processes in support of the Independent Living Associates at our Attendant Care Sites. The Scheduler develops, maintains, and adjusts schedules to ensure appropriate staffing, while responding to real-time operational needs. In addition, the Scheduler collaborates with managers and supervisors to support staffing requests, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure accurate data management within the electronic scheduling system.
In this role, you will contribute to an integrated, team-based model focused on efficient and responsive service delivery. You will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of operations by supporting workforce planning and enabling clinical teams to provide timely and effective services. Summary of Duties
Develop, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
Coordinate daily staffing needs, including managing call-ins, absences, and last-minute changes
Liaise with managers, supervisors, and staff to address scheduling requests and operational requirements
Input, update, and maintain accurate scheduling data in electronic scheduling systems (e.g., ADP, MakeShift and GoldCare)
Monitor and ensure scheduling accuracy in alignment with organizational and union policies and guidelines
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely and professional manner
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation related to staffing and scheduling activities
Provide excellent customer service and support
Perform general administrative duties in support of the Attendant Care team.
Qualifications/Skills
Completion of a one (1) year Community College program in Office Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with MakeShift, ADP or other electronic scheduling systems is an asset
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated customer service and telephone skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
